Oskar Dogarth Original Vintage Vienna Austria European Traditional Floral Still Life Oil Painting with Monarch Butterfly

Original vintage lush and gorgeous still life composition with a small monarch butterfly by Austrian traditionalist painter, Oskar Rudolph Dogarth, (1898-1961). Painted in the style of Flemish Old Masters, the painting is a vibrant and exquisitely detailed floral oil on board painting estimated to have been created circa 1940. The painting is signed by the artist in the lower right corner. The painting's measurements alone, sans frame are approximately 11.75" x 15.8"; (approximately 16" x 20"). The painting's measurements with the frame are approximately 18.4" x 22.4". The painting's title is "Blumenstillleben". The oil painting is framed in the original vintage era frame, and is in very good origin condition, with no visible flaws. The era gold gilt wood frame is in good condition, albeit with one small chip in the paint along the middle lower region.     Oskar Dogarth was birn in Vienna, Austria in 1898. He studied in Vienna, attending the School of Applied Arts in Vienna from 1917 to 1921, where he was taught by notable instructors, including Franz Cizek. In his earliest works, he painted both landscapes and still life compositions. Later in life, Dogarth was known for painting lush and vibrant still life paintings following the traditional manner of Old Flemish Masters.
