John Joseph Enneking, (1841-1916), an American painter and illustrator, was born of German ancestry in Minster, Ohio. He was educated at Mount St. Mary's College, Cincinnati.

Painting measures approximately 8.4" X 11.4", plus frame
Painting is in very good to excellent, original condition. There is a small chip of the board, on the lower left corner, as shown from verso, in frame. (Board was hand cut down, by artist, originally) All paint is original; there has been no overpaints, or restorations.
Painting is housed in vintage frame. Frame is not original to the painting; (painting is much older)
Frame is in good condition, with a couple of spots of wear in the paint. The linen liner on the inner border of the frame, has some discoloration
Signed lower left of the painting; and signed verso, in graphite. There is also what appears to be a year/date. Signature is a bit difficult to read. Please review images.
