Running Horse on Water Original Vintage Patina and Painted Hand Cast Bronze Signed Modernist Southwest Equine Fine Art Sculpture
Original vintage hand cast bronze of a horse on water, that has a very unique patina and paint; paint and patina appear almost expressionist, in style. Equine sculpture is signed, but not deciphered, as of yet; (image of signature included). Form, (such as muscle tone, and horse tail), and patina, more closely resemble the work of sculptor, Sandy Scott, (b.1943); although there are more than a few artists of this genre: Wayne Strickland, April Young, Gary Schildt, Bob Scriver, James Muir, to mention a few. (There does appear to be an S, - unknown/unverified at this point; please view last image for details) Bronze is done very well. Estimated to have been created in the 1980's. Very Taos Modernist, with very good detail in sculpture. Highly visually appealing, and uniquely beautiful; with tones of greenish blue and white patina against brushes of gold paint highlighting . Sculpture is in excellent original condition, measuring 9"H at the tallest, by 12" W, at the widest.
